Ispica (Spaccaforno until 1934, or Spaccafurnu in Sicilian) a pretty town located 6 km from the south-eastern coast of the island of Sicily, which was destroyed in 1693 following a devastating earthquake that destroyed much of Sicily and whole town which in that period stood mostly in the current Cava d'Ispica, an important archaeological site. Today Ispica stands on a flat hill near the Cava, with a modern and airy urban layout, with wide streets, large squares and beautiful churches.

In a strategic central position, it is just a few kilometers from the most beautiful beaches and the main baroque cities, such as Modica , Scicli and Ragusa , Noto , Marzamemi and Syracuse .

The main places of interest are represented by monuments such as Palazzo Bruno di Belmonte , in Art Nouveau style - seat of the Town Hall, the main square, and its beautiful churches such as Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata and Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore , the latter famous for its Loggiato del Sinatra featured in several movie scenes based on historical novels by Andrea Camilleri (Inspector Montalbano) and important advertisements by the designers Dolce and Gabbana, both protagonists of the Holy Week of Ispica, an event of historical and folkloristic importance.

The activities to be carried out are many, such as:

• Trekking , in the wonderful Cava Ispica , which winds along a valley for 13 km, carved into the limestone, where there are numerous Sicilian and Byzantine necropolises , and the Christian catacombs.
• Snorkeling , underwater fishing , kitesurfing , sailing and various marine activities at the beautiful beaches of Santa Maria del Focallo , Punta Ciriga and Porto Ulisse. Blue Flag beaches 2020.
